Xinyi Ceramic Factory recently announced the completion of the kiln energy-saving renovation project, through the introduction of intelligent temperature control system and new refractory materials, to reduce the energy consumption of a single kiln by 18%, and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by more than 1,200 tons per year, which is equivalent to the carbon absorption of planting 67,000 trees. The transformation covers all 5 production lines of the factory, and the thermal efficiency has been increased to 89% after the equipment upgrade, reaching the industry-leading level.

- Key Technology Applications: PLC automatic control system is used to monitor kiln temperature fluctuations in real time, controlling the temperature difference within ±5°C, reducing energy waste compared with traditional processes;
- Material innovation: the kiln lining is replaced with nanoscale insulating ceramic fibers, which reduces thermal conductivity by 40% and extends the service life of the equipment by 3-5 years;
- Data comparison: The energy consumption of a single ton of ceramic products before the transformation was 520kg of standard coal, which dropped to 425kg after the transformation, saving about 2,800 tons of standard coal per year.

The technical director of Xinyi Ceramics said that after the energy-saving transformation, the carbon emission intensity per unit output value of the factory has decreased by 22%, and it has passed the review of the ISO 14001 environmental management system.
